TiG has been active in the insulation business field both industrial and marine, since 1918. The demand for more efficient technology and better quality from the market has increased steadily through the years, and Ti Group success in meeting this demand has always rested on development of new and more efficient solutions.

Ti Marine Contracting

Started the business in 1918 then Known as Teknisk Isolering AS mainly as an insulation contractor on the Norwegian commercial fleet we then grew in during the oil Boom in Norway and in addition became the world leader in Cryogenic Insulation systems for LNG and LPG cargo ships, involved as early as the 1960’s. We have specialized in pipe and tank insulation for tankers carrying liquefied gas (LPG, LEG, LNG) at design temperatures down to –196°C. In addition to expertise, the capability to act as advisors and partners in the field of low temperature insulation is possible thanks to a strong project orientation and constant focus on cost effectiveness. We are working with new projects as well as service and upgrading of existing installations and plants.

Ti UK Contracting Ltd,

Established in 1980’s primarily in the offshore market for The North Sea we are also participating in insulation projects of more traditional kind for industry and the marine market. One of our main markets in UK is the Navy, where Ticon is playing a major role as a leading supplier and insulation contractor to the new builds for the Royal Navy fleet. The company is also heavily involved in after service and repair for the navy.

Ti China Co Ltd

Began its part of the business in 2002 primarily as our Panel Production Facility, transferring from our plants in Europe and South Korea. Due to the ever-fast-growing LNG, LPG and LEG Shipping business it then naturally progressed as a cryogenic designer of systems and Turnkey provider of our system. Ti China are currently No 1 Insulation provider for Type A, Type B and Type C tanks domestically in China and providing systems and turnkey solutions for Asia, Europe, and North America.

Ti China has capacity to produce 10,000 panels per month, which is equal to 2 x 12,000m3 LNG Fuel tanks per month.

Ti Groups R&D and design facility is located in Pudong, Shanghai.

Ti Korea Co Ltd

Ti Korea established in the 1980’s started with HHI on the Moss LNG tank design and Turnkey installation, we have had continuous works with HHI on both LNG, and LPG Cargo Tanks, delivering more than 150 VLGC’s. We have delivered the worlds first TiG Type B Panel System for LNG Fuel tanks. The company has currently +30 Ships on order both Fuel and Cargo tanks deliveries to HHI, SHI and DSME.

Ti Japan

Ti Japan established in the 1970’s started with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) on the Moss LNG tank design and Turnkey installation at Nagasaki, we then had many orders with Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding (MES) We have recently delivered 5 x 174, 000m3 Sayaringo Class and 6 x 153,000m3 Sayaendo Class LNG with VLBOR all with the “TiG Type B panel” system.

Offer technical services in Qatar, Dubai, Singapore, USA where we have delivered LNG/LPG tank & pipe insulation overhauls of FLNG, FSRU, LNG Tanks & piping. Offer technical support to shipyards solving critical challenges through innovation & teamwork.

TI is an established provider of specialist inspection services to several markets. Our experienced teams can deliver a range of specialist inspection methods into an efficient solution for our customers. We have teams of IRATA approved rope access inspectors who for over 10 years have delivered client inspections with an efficient, and economic benefit for our customers.
